Quick Apple Crisp

This recipe was from Pampered Chef – excellent!!

  • 9 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1 package yellow cake mix
  • 4 Tablespoons sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup of butter, melted

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cut apple slices crosswise, in half.

Place in greased 9 x 12 pan (it can be a little smaller pan also)

Sprinkle with dry cake mix.

In a small bowl combine sugar and cinnamon, and then sprinkle that over the dry cake mix.

Drizzle with melted butter.

Bake for about 30 minutes until topping is golden brown.

Serve warm with ice cream!

Can add raisins or chopped nuts to the apples if you desire.
